Our Leadership
J. Lynn Lewis — Mayor of Delhi, Louisiana
J. Lynn Lewis was born in Delhi, Louisiana in 1949 and lives there today. After graduating from Delhi High School in 1967, Mr. Lewis attended Louisiana State University where he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture. He was the Director of Planning for Maumelle, Arkansas, where his duties included the directing in the building of a new town outside of Little Rock. He is the owner of Terry’s Jewelry, a family-owned retail jewelry business which has been in existence since 1946. He and his wife, the former Becky Wilson of Bossier City, Louisiana, have two sons, Drew and Alex.

- Past Chairman of the Board, Northeast Louisiana Economic Alliance (2004-2006)
- Past President, Delhi Jaycees (recipient of Outstanding Jaycee Award)
- Former Alderman, Town of Delhi, three terms (12 years)
- Mayor, Town of Delhi (elected in January 2002 to complete the remainder of previous mayor’s term and re-elected in 2002 and 2006)
- Past President, Louisiana Municipal Association, 2006-2007
- Member and Past President, Executive Board, Louisiana Municipal Association
- Current Chairman of Southern Municipal Conference (consortium of 13 state municipal leagues throughout the Southern United State)
- Member of and Director of Television Ministry, First Baptist Church
- First Vice President, Delhi Lions Club
- Vice President, Northeast Louisiana Livestock Show
- Executive Director, Miss Louisiana Stockshow Pageant
- President, Miles-Hanna House Museum
- Member, Board of Directors, Louisiana National Register Review Committee

Northeast Louisiana Economic Alliance is a private membership, not-for-profit corporation utilizing local, state, federal and private resources and programs to enhance the available economic elements present in our region to promote and grow.
What we do
We provide technical assistance, loan programs, technical communication, education and preside as the Coordinating Responsible Authority for the Northern and Central Renewal Communities.
